When I came across a bright green ever-hungry polar bear
He took me by my empty hand and took me with his stare
And then we started dancing in the howling midnight air

He drove me to a city bright with shiny city lights
And I was blinded by the gleam and all them promised heights

He pointed out some shiny boots he knew would fit me fine
And I could barely keep myself from screaming, "how sublime!"
High heeled, black, up to my knees just how I like 'em yeah
He knew just what'd get me, he knew just what I'd wear

I lost myself amidst the greed-filled howling midnight fog

So next time you meet a bright green ever hungry polar bear

He'll only lead you way astray and far from who you are
So don't get fooled by shiny boots or get in strange bear's cars
